When Two Sisters Are Pregnant
Photographing sisters who are pregnant at the same time is an honor and probably a once in a lifetime kind of opportunity for any photographer. When those sisters also end up being drop dead gorgeous, and you get amazing light for your beach maternity shoot it becomes kind of surreal!
These two sisters were a dream to work with and definitely had a vision in mind for their session. They wanted dreamy, sun-filled images, and I think we made that happen! Katrina wore a dress from my all time favorite designer - Reclamation. I have literally been wanting to photograph one of these dresses for a year now. The amazing thing about these dresses is that you can rent them for your session! The pieces are one of a kind and made with artfully reclaimed and vintage materials, and they flatter every woman and every body. Katrina's sister opted for a dress made by my other favorite company - Free People. Heather's dress fit her like a glove and showed off every gorgeous, pregnant curve. It was the perfect compliment to Katrina's white lacy dress.
We started our session down on the rocks by the ocean and finished off at the top of the hill amongst the gorgeous wildflowers. The Carmel coastline gave us no shortage of beautiful backdrops for them. Thank you Katrina and Heather for a truly memorable maternity session - I can’t wait to see your amazing families grow.
