Reaven and Jason eloped under the enormous redwood trees on a gorgeous sunny day at Glen Oaks in beautiful Big Sur. They were joined by Reaven's parents for the intimate ceremony, and her Dad walked her down the forest "aisle". The couple came all the way from Arizona to get married in California because Reaven had lived in California for a few years as a child and said that Big Sur had left quite an impression on her, as it does for most. They stayed in the "Little Sur" cabin, just a few steps away from the serene river. After the ceremony, we explored the beautiful campground and found a bed of ivy where Jason read to Reaven, a favorite activity of theirs. I love seeing how couples express their love for one another in the simplest of ways. Reaven told me "I love just doing life with him, no matter how “small” or again, “mundane”, the things we do may be."
The couple did a quick shoe change into Vans and Chucks, and we headed to Pfeiffer Beach to catch the gorgeous sunset. It was the first time either of them had seen this magical beach, and it did not disappoint. Reaven and Jason climbed a mountain, had their first dance, took some fun photos of each other, and finished off the night with a pizza picnic. I absolutely loved getting to know these two, and was honored to be a witness and capture their special day. Thank you Reaven and Jason!!!
