All the Way From Nashville to California
Eric and Leanna knew they wanted to elope somewhere in the woods followed by photos at the beach. After seeing photos of Big Sur on Instagram-they knew they had found the perfect destination. They both share a love of the outdoors, hiking, and chilling on the porch by a fire drinking a glass of wine. Check, check, and check!
They were so excited to explore the California Coast and see everything that Big Sur has to offer. However, just three days after our zoom call–Eric broke his foot hiking! They did not let this stop them from continuing the planning process and dreaming up the perfect day. And by the time their elopement came around, Eric had his cast removed and was able to still explore all the beautiful landscapes!
This couple's vows had to be some of the most meaningful and beautiful I've ever had. Literally. Eric is a VERY talented musician and wrote, sang, and played the guitar for Leanna. He had all of us in tears. After their ceremony in the redwoods, we went back to their cabin at Glen Oaks and celebrated with s'mores by the fire instead of wedding cake–I love this twist! We then drove up the coast for a stop at the cliffs where we watched a few sea otters have their evening meal as Leanna and Eric had their first dance. We then continued on to Garrapata State Beach where we climbed rocks, drank champagne and finished the evening off under the stars.
There are some couples that you wish you got to photograph over and over again. Eric and Leanna, I would photograph your wedding day a million times over! Congratulations friends!!
