James and Kristy's Engagement Session
Does it get any better than shooting an engagement session in autumn on one of the warmest days of the year, cotton candy skies, and the Big Sur coastline? Nope, it doesn't! I have known Kristy for many, many years and I was so honored to photograph this very special occasion for them She is originally from Monterey, and Big Sur holds a special place in her heart. We decided to hold their session at Garrpata State Beach since it's only about a 20 minute drive down the coast, but still gives that "Big Sur" impression. You cannot go wrong with the landscape at Garrapata between the gorgeous rock formations, wildflowers, gigantic waves and natural lagoon. I had the very talented florist of Cassia Foret put together a gorgeous bouquet of natural flowers that fit the vibe of our session to perfection. Luckily, the weather was ultra cooperative and we surprisingly had almost the whole beach to ourselves! I'm so excited for these two and wish them all the happiness in their future together!
